This enlarged specimen is of chert at the base with dolomite to the left and sphalerite to the right. Chert is commonly known as flint and is
also called jasperoid. Due to its hardness, humans have used the rock for thousands of years to make tools and weapons.
Chert
is often found among mining waste. |
